Dr. Alex Doyle

General Surgeon in the island of Barbados. Dr.Doyle graduated from the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Degree ( MBBS) in 2007 after completing his preclinical training at the Mount Hope Campus, St. Augustine, Trinidad. He then undertook specialist training in General Surgery and graduated from the Cavehill Campus with a Doctor of Medicine in General Surgery Degree in 2019. Currently he is the Senior Research Fellow of the Caribbean Colon Cancer Initiative with special interest in the genetics of colorectal cancer and the role it plays in the incidence of the disease especially in persons of African descent. Additionally he is pursuing sub-specialist training in complex endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery especially in relation to colorectal cancer management. He is the first author and co-author of many peer-reviewed articles and posters presented at both local, regional and international conferences
