Dr. Kiana Bhola is an aspiring General Surgeon who graduated from The University of the West Indies, Cavehill Campus in 2019, and subsequently completed a one year internship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados. Her time spent rotating through Surgery was split into General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. It was during these rotations that she became drawn to participating in surgeries in the Operating Theatre and realized that Surgery was the career she wanted to pursue. Upon completion of the internship period in July of 2020, she began working at Surgical Solutions Inc Barbados, under the tutelage of Dr. S. Griffith, where she currently works as a surgical assistant in general, laparoscopic and plastic surgery and as a general practitioner. Dr. Bhola also has interests in research, and works as a research assistant in the Caribbean Colon Cancer Initiative Group. Apart from medicine, Dr. Bhola enjoys playing an array of musical instruments and singing. She spends any other free time supporting Liverpool FC and researching the newest technology in both the medical and consumer markets.
